Blogs for Everyday People
A Blog for the rest of us.
I love blogs. There are so many, I could read for days. There are many blogs about moms, and many people write about their wonderful lives, or how to be wonderful, or something else wonderful, and then there are the rest of us, an interview might go something like this:
Interviewer: So what do you do?
TROU (The Rest of Us): Not much.
Interviewer: Well, who would you say you are?
TROU: No one special really.
Interviewer: Well what are you into?
TROU: Sometimes many things and sometimes not much.
Interviewer: Well, wouldn't you like to be wonderful?
TROU: Sure. I am wonderful in a way, but with special people around me, maybe not the whole world. I don’t have a desire to be wonderful for everyone. I cannot please everyone, and I just want to be myself.
Interviewer: Don’t you want to do more?
TROU: Sure, well, sometimes. I feel like maybe I used to have a handle on life and then it fell off. LOL. Some days I am on and some days I am off, or just not feeling like participating in life.
Interviewer: Oh, I see, so you are rather depressed?
TROU: Sometimes, but I just don’t feel the need to be driven all the time. Sometimes I just want to BE, without feeling that I have to be doing SOMETHING, or on all the time. I guess I tend to be rather inconsistent.
Interviewer: You just want to be honored more for WHO you are than for what you do.
TROU: I just want to be and not feel like I am trying to be anything. I am who I am and that is that. You know one drop of water is not much, but many of them create an ocean. I am part of that process, and that is a great thing.
